ABOUT

OWNER/PRESIDENT/CEO/MANAGER

Adam Gabriel Nuzzi was born on April 24, 1995 at Northern Dutchess Hospital Rhinebeck NY at 5:30 AM. Adam’s parent’s names are Barbara and Vito Nuzzi. Adam has two older brothers Matthew and David.

Adam grew up in Hyde Park, NY in his first and only home located in Kensington Village.

When Adam was just nine months old, On January 28, 1996, Super Bowl Sunday 1996, the Dallas Cowboys against the Pittsburgh Steelers, when the Nuzzi’s went to Pizza Hut located in Hyde Park, NY. Little Adam got a little carried away when the waitress put the pizza and hot marinara sauce in front of Adam, which Adam then proceeded to stick his hand in. Adam shrieked out in pain, the famous quote from his brother, “Mom picked him up like a football and ran to the bathroom!” Hell broke loose in Pizza Hut and the following weeks were painful indeed. Adam made a full recovery and is scar free.

Adam attended Hyde Park Nursery School on Route 9G until he was 4 years old. Adam attended Ralph R. Smith Elementary School, followed by Havilland Middle School, and then Franklin Delano Roosevelt High School, all in the Hyde Park Central School District.

In Adam’s kindergarten year at Ralph R Smith Elementary, Adam faced the first challenge to adapt to the world outside of home. Adam did not make friends easy. In gym class, one of the tasks was to complete the one-mile run/walk. Adam, out of shape for a five year old, had difficulty running, and Adam started falling to the ground, when another student, Devontae Moore, helped grab Adam, as he was falling and helped him complete the final lap of the one mile run/walk.

Adam’s kindergarten year was very difficult to get through. With that being known by Adam’s mother, she got a job at Ralph R. Smith Elementary as a lunch monitor to keep an eye on Adam. When Adam’s kindergarten teacher went out on maternity leave and the new interim teacher came in, Adam did not like her. (This making why Adam’s mom in the building for a few hours a day, was so important to Adam). Not to mention, Adam’s older brother who was in fifth grade was helping Adam get on and off the bus at the beginning and end of each day.

For whatever reasons he had, Adam did not get along with the new teacher. Maybe it was the time when Adam was asked to color, the color wheel. When Adam began coloring, he had a hard time doing so. For whatever reason, Adam could not complete the task. All Adam can recall is that he started to cry as he watched other students complete the color wheel as he was stuck on the color brown. The legend said that Adam freaked out, crying hysterically, and with no end in sight. The new teacher went to go retrieve Adam’s mom to come help the situation. The classroom was cleared, and Adam and his mom were alone. When his mom showed him the colors and explained if you don’t know the colors, look at the label that should help. Adam relived by this, stopped crying, and felt better. The next day, Adam was sent to the Nurse’s office for an eye test. And with results coming back that Adam was color blind, all made sense.

Elementary school was not Adam’s time to shine. First and second grade, Adam spends his time with the same teacher. Third grade his teacher was in and out sick or with her ankle injury.  With the free time Adam had not being taught, Adam developed a new idea, one that would change his life forever. It was called Adams Films, a homemade business. It launched when Adam started making music with his debut album, Can I Borrow a Feeling, followed by Adam Returns, Adam’s Concert Album. Adam also dived into film making when the first short film, The Dog Wars Saga, Dog Rocky, Quantum Jessica, and Dog M*A*S*H.

Fourth grade, Adam’s teacher was very different, a hard tough woman who didn’t take no for an answer. Adam learned that it doesn’t mean you can’t be tough and demand respect and also be nice and caring. Adam began writing small biographies of students he sat with in class. His famous one in the class was of Christopher Schneider. So popular, that Adam was actually transcribing copies for other students. It even reached the point when his teacher read the story out loud to the class, and they loved it. As you may guess, Adam continued to make more and more of students and it eventually became old and overplayed. The new creative Adam came out with his new business Adams Films and continued to come out.

In Fifth grade, his teacher who really buckled down and drove hard with work put Adam to the test. The work got so intense that Adam was forced to call in back-up, his father, who often helped and even did the work for Adam. Although, Adam was not doing the work well, Adam did enough to pass. He even had extra help from teaching assistants in school to help Adam learn the material better.

Adam, “It was fun, but I’d hate to do this for a year” summed up Adam first day of middle school in Haviland Middle School. Sixth grade was another tough year for Adam, no matter what it was, Adam kept going. Maybe it was the continuous workload he was taking on with Adams Films. By 2007, Adam had released over 15 videos/short films and four albums.

Seventh grade, Adam started to find a rhythm in school and Adams Films. What is known as the 2008 Adams Films Scare, when Adam made a video that he was officially shutting down Adams Films. After weeks of taking a break, Adam and his family met to announce that they were releasing new movies starring his parents and himself. All of these new films were known as: I’m a Man, The Weird Couple, The Adam Saga, and later in 2009, the return and conclusion to Quantum Jessica.

Eighth grade, was when Adam really grew in regards to people at school, his teacher Mr. Tom Hess, got Adam out of shell to open up to people. Adam stated that he really liked eighth grade and he hopes the next years of public school would be similar to them. Adam’s final research paper on Jackie Robinson is still known today as one of Adam’s best research paper’s he has written.

In ninth grade, Adam was back with his mother, who worked at the high school (F.D Roosevelt High School) and moved up from a lunch monitor to a teaching assistant. Adam’s personally was in put into question multiple times when other lunch monitors were making false accusations about Adam’s character.

Adam’s first public impact was first noticed in his tenth grade year in F.D. Roosevelt High School (2010-2011) when Adam was asked to join the new and upcoming Audio/Visual club by technology teacher Mr. C. Adam’s ambitious attitude towards the new after school club was noticed early by Adam’s mother.

Adam learned from seniors and juniors in the club who helped get the club off the ground. Their main focus was broadcasting the Friday morning announcements, not only different, but with a new energy to get student’s attention and school spirit morale improving. At the end of the 2010-2011 school year, Adam was the first to say, “I’m actually looking forward to school next year.”

By Adam’s junior year (2011-2012), Adam was flying high as the student leader of the A/V Club or better known as FDR Live. Adam not only helped built the program but he helped train the future leaders of the club as well.

By Winter 2011, Adam not only have helped built a crew around him, introduced a weather segment to their Friday morning announcements and started working with the school’s sports department to make weekly sports highlights/wrap-ups. At first the small videos were nothing that grabbed the school’s attention but by the end of 2011-2012 school year, Adam’s sports wrap-ups became a part of FDR’s sports departments. Adam also introduced a sports segment to the show FDR Live which also helped gain exposure to the wrap-ups. Adam showed his dedication for his work, as Adam started to stay working at the school until 4-5 PM.

In April of 2012, Adam spoke to the advisers of the club in regards to what Adam called a Senior Video. At first what Adam was proposing sounded impossible between his school work and all that he already has taken on with the club, but Adam’s time to shine turned out to be just then.

Adam interviewed all 11 seniors involved in the club and then most of the underclassmen along with all three advisers to discuss their favorite moments and other memories they have built in the A/V Club.

By May of 2012, Adam’s deadline of the last day of regular classes to release the video was bearing down on him. Adam already staying on average to 5 PM working on his sports wrap-ups, up the work load and stayed longer, some nights until 8 PM and then Adam would come back in the next morning at 6:30 AM to finish working on it.

By June of 2012, Adam even pressed himself to make a trailer for the senior video documentary and he left the room speechless. All they could say was “Play it again”

In the trailer, Adam added some quotes: A Masterpiece, Pure Genius” “If Only We Could Fail Them” “It might be the best thing that Adam Nuzzi has ever done, and that’s really saying something”

The last Tuesday meeting arrived and Adam set up the computer to show his work. When the laptop in the library conference room malfunctioned, Adam took the initiative and brought the club to their Mac Lab and played it for them over their projector.

The video ended around 18 minutes, the longest video made by an FDR Live Member to date and the seniors were beyond satisfied, Adam blew expectations out of the water. Some seniors were even brought to tears by Adam’s end to the video.

At the end of 2011-2012 school year, Adam and his best friend MC squared were all ready to take the club’s senior lead the following year.

All that Adam and MC squared could say on the last day of classes was, “Man I can’t wait til next year”

When 2012-2013 school year arrived, Adam and MC squared took the role together and ran with it. They took FDR Live and the A/V Club to the next level, working with MSG Varsity to earn monthly incentives to help fund the club to better things. Adam also worked with local Hyde Park television station Channel 22. Adam would export each video three times, one MSG varsity, One for Channel 22, and one for the FDR Live’s show and YouTube page.

One won’t forget when FDR Live decided to make the switch to High Definition broadcast streaming. FDR Live took the month of December off to retool their studio but Adam’s idea to broadcast in the main office like the principals does, kept FDR Live going for the rest of December. When the last show of the year on December 23, 2012, their host was late off the bus. Adam took the initiative to step in as the host with his co-host to run the show. One of their advisers said, “I wish we could always have him host, but we need him in so many other spots.”

When 2013 rolled around, FDR Live eventually picked back up and for the first time in history, ran in HD. The focus of the second half of the year was very interesting, FINISH! That was something that everyone knew Adam and MC squared had to do but also the most important thing was to prep for next year and integrate the juniors in, so they can step in without missing a beat. Of all that Adam would do, that was the one thing that seem very difficult to do. Adam went on to make a studio tour video; “How To Film” video with MC squared and to wrap it all up was his behind the scenes video (Adam’s last video produced for FDR Live). But above all that was Adam’s final Sports wrap-up, His 51st of all-time and would be the club’s last. Adam told us the final result and gave his heartfelt thank you and goodbye.

With all that Adam did, it was pretty obvious what they the juniors need to do. And against all odds, the next leader of FDR Live finished The Class of 2013 FDR Live Senior Video. Adam not only was grateful for the work the junior put in, but he still cherishes that DVD.  Some would say, It was Adam Nuzzi himself who propelled the next leader to work as hard as he did to finish that video. He stayed well after the last day of classes to finish the video. It was the day of graduation rehearsal that the seniors received the DVD.

At the last FDR Live meeting of 2013, Adam Nuzzi asked the advisers if he could address the group personally, with approval, Adam knew what he wanted to say. When Adam got his chance to address the group, Adam stated, “I just want to thank everyone for everything… it’s been my pleasure….” Adam walked from the center of the room to the back corner, almost choked up with emotion. Adam then started handing out a photo of himself taken by the future leader of FDR Live with all 12 completed broadcast credits around Adam. Adam signed the photo and handed it out to everyone in the room and Adam even wrote on some of them to specific people. None like the one he wrote to the next Future leader, “

But with every great career comes its flaws. Adam’s biggest flaw was when Adam deleted the final show of his career, which also set a record of most amounts of hosts and most amounts of students in the FDR Live Studio. Adam always believed that he was a big deal, that he was the best. Adam was also known for his seriousness, his bad moods, and his strong opinions, which separated him from his peers. Adam holds the most amounts of broadcast logo credits on the FDR Live Mural with a total of 12 (Teleprompter, Weather Host, Sports Host, Writer, Editing, Studio Director, Music, Director, Technical Director, YouTube Videos, Computer Graphics, and MSG Varsity).  To achieve credit for a position in the studio you had to film Question of the Week once a month and you had to run the position a total of four times to earn the credit. Followed by training the position to another member.

When Adam walked across the stage at his high school graduation, Adam’s final show was when they called his name and Adam yanked open his graduation gown to his Tom Seaver Jersey. The reason, Adam yanked it open like Clark Kent yanking his dress shirt off to reveal Superman.

The final thanks that the A/V Club gave Adam were what Adam wanted his whole time with FDR Live: The broadcast shirt. On the broadcast shirt his has Adam’s 12 broadcast logo credits and including a small number 13 for hosting. (Adam was short a couple of hosting appearances to get the full credit)

After all that, Adam was set on the path to success. Family, friends, peers, teachers’ thought he was going to “go places” in life.

The first place Adam went was to Hannaford of Red Hook to start work as a bakery associate. And Adam already took the next step in what he called “restore balance” to the department.

Adam also started attending Dutchess Community College for Communications and Media Arts Associates Degree.

On January 16, 2014, Adam Nuzzi officially began working with the Class of 2015 students to create the Class of 2014 FDR Live Senior Video, the third since it’s inaugural year. And like usual Adam Nuzzi was right there in the middle of it. Adam worked with the junior FDR Live leaders to put the video together. A key quote that Adam said to the two leaders on January 21, 2014 via Google Documents “I Want to thank everyone personally for starting this process early. It will prove to be a more fun filled experience instead of at the last minute. I’m proud of all of you!” The video perhaps was the most organized and has the most potential. With Adam working on it with years experience and with time in his favor for the first time, the video was set to be the best one yet. Adam helped create a planning document for brainstorming and communicating, Adam gave his exclusive outline from his 2012 senior video, including questions that were asked, Trailer outline, narration outline, and the whole 2012 outline. First time ever released to anyone besides Adam and the adviser. They created a script and a To Do List. When the video was released, It received very few comments. None the less, the video was a success, and Adam made a special guest experience talking about each and every one of the Class of 2014, making him the first interviewee that was not currently enrolled.

After only 11 months and two weeks, Adam made the step to Assistant Bakery Manager of Hannaford of Red Hook at age 19, 31 days. The next question was, will Adam still graduate? And if so, on time? Adam once again embarked on a tough road. Adam finished his associate’s degree in two years and worked full time, 40 hours a week at Hannaford.

Adam and two of his friends from FDR decided to start their own business called NPJ Productions. Unfortunately the business failed to get any big work expect one client.

In the summer of 2014, Adam Nuzzi started working with Christopher Hoose, a former drummer to the small band The Drive. He was currently working on his “One Man Band” called Ahoosetic. Adam made videos for Hoose and helped promote him. Adam’s biggest work he did for him was put together a volunteer album with all proceeds going towards the Wounded Warriors Project. Adam e-mail bands across the Hudson Valley to ask their permission to give him a song to add to the collaboration album, for the Christopher Hoose. The main reason was to promote Hoose’s new song Search and Destroy which he wrote for all of the United States troops over seas and ones who served. Artwork was done by former FDR Live member Kayla Jaeb. When the album was finally released in October, the album failed to receive any kind of recognition. Eventually Adam and Hoose drifted apart working relatively nothing after the debacle.

When January 2015 arrived. Adam sent the same e-mail to the FDR Live head adviser, 2015 FDR Live Senior Video? When all Adam received was, “Not anyone yet, I’ll keep you posted” Unfortunately there was nothing else to add to that for the rest of the year. The FDR Live Senior Video tradition was no more than three years.

In April of 2015, Adam Nuzzi who was working with local band Ahoosetic, keep pushing in the field of music and promoting live shows. Adam would eventually get a live show in Drumlin Hall at Dutchess Community College on April 23, 2015 starring Zerg and featuring One For The Braves, The Foxfires, and Diamonds To Dust. The show did not go well, only drawing five fans and the other bands. The headliner Zerg did not go on and the show was a bust. From that point, Adam retired from the game of hosting a live music show.

When Adam graduated from Dutchess Community College in May of 2015, it was a different feeling, not a sad day, not a happy day, a day of relief. The journey was over but that turned out to be a bad thing. Adam stopped working on his videos with his homemade business Adams Films and NPJ was struggling to gain traction.

Adam worked hard at Hannaford along with enjoying the small things in life. By November of 2015, Adam not only was looking to improve his bakery but to take it to the next level and somewhere along the lines it went wrong. It was the day before Thanksgiving 2015, Adam was helping close the bakery down. Adam got out of his car and the pain hit in his lower back. Adam still worked his whole eight hour day and continued to work up until the following Tuesday, when Adam finally could not finish his day and went home sick for the first time in his Hannaford career. Adam scheduled to have off Wednesday and Thursday, had time to recover. However, Adam only got worse and ended up in Orthopedics Associates walk in, where Adam passed out after having his blood pressure taken. An ambulance was called and Adam was rushed to Vassar Brothers Hospital. After spending all day in the hospital Adam was released with results of lower back disc degeneration and Adam was faced with perhaps the biggest obstacle to overcome in his life. Adam was taken out of work for the next six days and Adam returned the following Thursday to work barely able to move but still good enough to return. Adam would finish the year and set up an appointment to go visit a physical therapist.

In 2016, Adam went in physical therapy for two months working on stretching, building muscle, and chiropractic therapy to heal his back. After two months, insurance refused to pay for any more and Adam was on the track to self-healing. Adam continued to work at Hannaford and working on his “balance and stability” to the bakery.

By March of 2016, Adam announced that NPJ Productions was bankrupt. Days later, Adam announced that their will be a 60/40 merger between NPJ Productions and Adams Films. Adams Films was taking all of NPJ’s debt and client list and would operate under New York State Law and Dutchess County Law. Adam announced by April 23, 2016, the merger would be official and NPJ Productions would cease to exist.

The two other partners in NPJ Productions gave full power to Adam to do what is best for all. Thus started the next chapter of Adam Nuzzi, Adams Films is now a real world business. After operating exclusively in house since 2004, Adams Films was open to the public on April 24, 2016.

As Adam took control of his new business, Adams Films thrived in its first six months in comparison to NPJ. Adams Films filmed their first wedding in June 2016, continued to work with NPJ Productions only client, and expanded themselves into local preservation of VHS tapes, music videos, photography, print, and of course video editing.

Adam finally went back to the doctor in May of 2016 demanding a MRI to be done on his back, which was a continuous ache and pain. After a month of waiting, the results were in, and Adam was diagnosed with a bulging disc in his right side and Congenital Spinal Stenosis. “Congenital Spinal Stenosis is a condition in which a child is born with a narrow spinal canal due to abnormally formed parts of the spine. It tends to worsen progressively with age.” Adam began going to his local gym Determined Fitness in Poughkeepsie, New York and working with one of their one on one trainers.

In January 2016, Adam Nuzzi filmed, produced, and narrated the first big video since the FDR Live Senior Video in 2012. It was The Top 5 Wiffleball Players. The video is privately released and plans on staying that way due to copyrighted material. But sources say that this video tops the 2012 FDR Live Senior Video due to Adam’s grown experiences filming and editing. It also included real footage of live games and old photos of his father when he was young.

On September 11, 2017, Adam got engaged to Kaitlyn A Skelly of Dunkirk, New York.

Adam is currently working at BJs Wholesale Club in Blasdell, NY and currently resides in Orchard Park, New York.
